· Lawyer: For the record, please state your name.
· Simon: Sir Simon of Burchfield, son of Bruce and Catherine.
· Lawyer: How long have you know King John?
· S.S: I have known him for quite a long time. We used to go to school together before he became a king and before I got married once he became king he became arrogant and did not want to have anything to do with all of his friends, you can ask anyone that went to school with him.
· Lawyer: Has he been following his agreements?
· S.S: For the most part if he does not tell him that a cannot do what he has asked.
· Lawyer: Give me an example of when he has not.
· S.S: Well, he keeps asking me for money I found it very suspicious. I was starting to think that he was using the money for the wrong reason. I am still curios until this day about the money, if you would not mind could you ask him what he was doing with the money.
· Lawyer: I see…. who came up with the idea of the Magna Carta?
· S.S: I did sir I was tired of him taking control of everything that I decided to make a change. Most people liked my idea. So I got together all of the people that wanted to help to give their ideas.
· Lawyer: Like whom?
· S.S: It was the like nobles, nights and fellow peasants.
· Lawyer: Do you think that king John is keeping his promise?
· S.S: I do not think so because he is still thinking that he is in total control of everything. He is starting wars for no reason and to fund them he is taking money from that people. It is making all of us very mad because he signed the Magna Carta and he is not upholding his end of it.
· Lawyer: I can feel your pain and I hope that we can get this settled. Do you think that he should go to jail?
· S.S: I do and that is why I claim him guilty and if you do not accuse him of being guilty, I will just give up on trying to make things better for my kids.
· Lawyer: Thank you for you time I will see that something is done and that justice is severed.
